The world does not need any more reusable mugs. STEAM is a reusable smart coffee sleeve to encourage you to use the mugs you already have.
Physical Prototype
The physical prototype depicts the use of recycled leather scraps, and STEAM’s counter screen.
When the STEAM sleeve is scanned in participating coffee shops, the sleeve's counter informs users of the quantity of resources they save as their mug is re-filled. Each refill is rewarded with points in the STEAM app, which can lead to discounts and free treats.

The app displays the commercial and consumer benefit of participating in the STEAM program. With each scan, users are rewarded and encouraged to use their reusable mugs with their STEAM sleeve.
